Glen Ellyn Infant Welfare Supports Dist. 87 ELL Students
Glen Ellyn Infant Welfare Society members Jennifer Darnall and Debbie Wenta visit with English language learner 2 students in Glenbard West teacher Sarah Hoisington's class. The students showcase some of the books and supplies purchased through a generous donation from the Glen Ellyn Infant Welfare Society. Glenbard West serves 90 ELL students who speak more than 35 languages. This year, students arrived from a variety of countries, including Thailand, Myanmar, India, Nepal, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Egypt, Vietnam and Iraq. Many of these students have had little or no formal schooling. The ELL program offers four levels of core English instruction and sheltered content area courses. The program is designed to integrate ELL students into the West community and mainstream them as soon as they are proficient in English.

Our Annual Housewalk...
Every spring we showcase a handful of spectacular homes throughout the neighborhood in order to raise money for our local charities. Each of these homes plays host to hundreds of visitors, who all take in the beauty of the house.
2014 will mark the 30th anniversary of the annual housewalk and we believe it will be the best one yet!
