How to Join Glen Ellyn Infant Welfare Society

Glen Ellyn Infant Welfare is a society of women who have made a commitment to the well being of Glen Ellyn’s children. Through its community service projects and fund-raising efforts, this society serves as an integral link between children in need and the community.

Please contact us if you are interested in joining.

Membership

We have 2 types of membership:  “Active”, the 70 members who make up the meat of the organization, “Sustaining”, which consists of former Active members who continue to be involved in the organization on a limited basis.

General Meetings

General meetings are held once a month in a member’s home.  They consist of lunch (prepared and served by that month’s committee) at 11:30 and are followed by a business meeting at 11:45.  “Business” involves board reports and any timely information that needs to be presented.

The Board

Like most organizations, Infant Welfare has an Executive Board, consisting of a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.  We also have an Appointed Board of 11 positions, each filled by one or two members, which are responsible for a specific facet of operations.
